Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 45th Anniversary

The Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 45th Anniversary edition celebrates one of the most important moments in the history of the Speedmaster and the Apollo program.

Released in 2015 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Apollo 13, the watch is identified by reference 311.32.42.30.04.003 and was produced in a limited edition of 1,970 pieces, representing the year 1970.

The watch features a 42mm stainless-steel case and a crisp white dial with blackened hands and hour markers. At 9 o’clock, a luminous depiction of Snoopy appears within the small-seconds sub-dial, creating the watch’s signature visual identity.

The dial also incorporates the famous Apollo 13-inspired messages “Failure is not an option” and “What could you do in 14 seconds?” The 14-second scale references the Snoopy comic-strip imagery associated with the Apollo 13 story.

Powering the watch is the manually wound OMEGA Calibre 1861, a mechanical chronograph movement with 18 jewels and approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

The caseback provides the most dramatic detail. A 925 silver Snoopy medallion is positioned over a dark-blue enamel background, surrounded by a starry motif that reinforces the watch’s space-exploration theme.

The result is a highly distinctive Speedmaster that combines chronograph functionality, Apollo 13 history and an unmistakable Snoopy design.
