Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Steel & Sedna™ Gold

The Speedmaster Moonphase brings together OMEGA’s iconic Speedmaster chronograph design with an intricate moonphase complication and luxurious two-tone finishing. This 44.25 mm version combines stainless steel with 18K Sedna™ Gold, creating a warm contrast between the polished metal case and the rose-gold-toned precious-metal details.

The documented reference 304.23.44.52.13.001 features a brown sun-brushed dial, brown leather strap, and brown ceramic bezel ring with a Ceragold™ tachymeter scale.

Two-Tone Steel & Sedna™ Gold Case

The case combines stainless steel with 18K Sedna™ Gold, OMEGA’s proprietary rose-gold alloy. Sedna™ Gold is designed to maintain its distinctive color and lustre over time and contains copper and palladium as part of its composition.

The 44.25 mm case gives the watch a substantial presence, while the combination of steel and Sedna™ Gold adds a refined luxury character.

Brown Sun-Brushed Dial

The brown sun-brushed dial provides the visual centerpiece of this Omega Speedmaster Moonphase. Diamond-polished 18K Sedna™ Gold indexes and hands complement the warm dial color.

At 6 o’clock, the detailed moonphase display presents a high-resolution representation of the lunar surface using a microstructured metallic crystal disc.

Moonphase Display

The moonphase complication is one of the defining characteristics of the Speedmaster Moonphase. OMEGA developed the display to show two highly detailed representations of the Moon, adding an astronomical element to the traditional chronograph layout.

The moonphase display gives the watch additional depth and makes it particularly appealing to enthusiasts who appreciate complicated mechanical timepieces.

Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9904

Powering the watch is the OMEGA Calibre 9904, a self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel and Co-Axial escapement. The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS and is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.

The movement operates at 4 Hz and provides approximately 60 hours of power reserve. It incorporates central hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, small seconds, date indication, 12-hour and 60-minute recorders, and moonphase functionality.

Brown Ceramic Bezel

The brown ceramic bezel ring complements the dial and incorporates a Ceragold™ tachymeter scale. The tachymeter is a traditional Speedmaster feature that allows average speed to be calculated over a known distance.

The ceramic construction adds a contemporary technical element to the warm brown and Sedna™ Gold color palette.

Sapphire Crystal and Exhibition Caseback

The watch uses scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. A transparent caseback allows the mechanical Calibre 9904 to be viewed from the rear.

This combination gives the watch both practical protection and an opportunity to appreciate the finishing and architecture of the automatic movement.

Brown Leather Strap

The two-tone Speedmaster Moonphase is presented on a brown leather strap designed to complement the brown dial and bezel. The strap uses alligator leather on the surface and a non-grained calf-leather underside, with a foldover clasp.
