Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Platinum & Baguette Diamonds

The Speedmaster Moonphase Platinum & Baguette Diamonds represents an especially luxurious interpretation of OMEGA’s Moonphase chronograph. The watch combines the recognizable Speedmaster case architecture with precious-metal construction, a sophisticated moonphase display, and a diamond-set dial.

Reference 304.93.44.52.99.004 measures 44.25 mm and features a platinum-gold case, sand-blasted platinum-gold dial, blue ceramic bezel, and blue alligator leather strap.

Platinum-Gold Case

The case is constructed from OMEGA’s platinum-gold alloy, providing the watch with a prestigious precious-metal character. The 44.25 mm case has a substantial presence while retaining the distinctive asymmetrical Speedmaster profile.

OMEGA lists the case thickness at approximately 17.05 mm, with a 21 mm lug width and 50 mm lug-to-lug measurement.

Sand-Blasted Platinum-Gold Dial

The dial continues the precious-metal theme with a sand-blasted platinum-gold surface. Its muted grey appearance creates an elegant background for the diamond-set indexes and darkened hands.

This understated dial treatment allows the baguette diamonds to provide the primary visual highlight without making the overall design excessively ornate.

Baguette-Cut Diamond Indexes

The defining feature of this Speedmaster Platinum Diamond is its set of 18K white-gold index holders with baguette-cut diamonds.

The elongated baguette-cut stones create a crisp geometric appearance that works particularly well with the technical lines of the Speedmaster case and chronograph layout. OMEGA’s documentation specifically identifies the indexes as being set with baguette-cut diamonds.

Blue Ceramic Bezel

The blue ceramic bezel provides a striking contrast against the platinum-gold case and grey dial. It incorporates a brushed platinum Liquidmetal™ tachymeter scale, retaining one of the defining visual elements of the Speedmaster chronograph.

The blue bezel also coordinates with the blue moonphase disc and blue leather strap.

Detailed Moonphase Display

At 6 o’clock, the Speedmaster Moonphase features a blue ceramic moonphase disc with two moons created using platinum Liquidmetal™.

The moonphase display adds an astronomical complication to the traditional chronograph configuration and gives the watch a distinctive focal point.

Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9905

The watch is powered by OMEGA Calibre 9905, a self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel and Co-Axial escapement.

The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS and is resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. It operates at 4 Hz and provides approximately 60 hours of power reserve.

The calibre provides central hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, small seconds, a hand-operated date indication, 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph recorders, and moonphase functionality. Its rotor and balance bridge are finished in 18K Sedna™ Gold.

Blue Alligator Leather Strap

The blue leather strap reinforces the watch’s color scheme and coordinates with the ceramic bezel and moonphase disc.

OMEGA specifies an alligator leather surface, a non-grained alligator leather underside, and a platinum foldover clasp.

Sapphire Crystal and Transparent Caseback

The watch uses scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. A transparent sapphire caseback provides a view of the Calibre 9905 movement.

This allows the mechanical architecture and luxury finishing of the movement to remain visible when the watch is worn or displayed.
