Rolex Daytona 126505 Chocolate Dial

The Rolex Daytona 126505 Chocolate Dial is a luxurious interpretation of the iconic Cosmograph Daytona, combining Rolex’s proprietary 18 ct Everose gold with an elegant chocolate and black chronograph dial.

The current chocolate-dial configuration is reference 126505-0005. Rolex officially describes its dial as “Bright chocolate and black”, featuring snailed chronograph counters, 18 ct gold applied hour markers and hands, and Chromalight luminescence.

The watch measures 40mm and features an Oyster case, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, screw-down Triplock winding crown and an engraved Everose-gold tachymetric bezel. Rolex rates the model to 100 metres / 330 feet of water resistance.

Bright Chocolate and Black Dial

The defining feature of this Daytona is its bright chocolate and black dial. The chocolate base creates a warm contrast against the black snailed chronograph counters, while 18 ct gold applied markers and hands complement the Everose gold case and bracelet. Chromalight provides long-lasting blue luminescence in low-light conditions.

18 ct Everose Gold Construction

The 126505 is crafted in Rolex’s proprietary 18 ct Everose gold, including the Oyster case, tachymeter bezel and three-piece solid-link Oyster bracelet. Rolex developed Everose gold specifically for its pink-gold watches to preserve their distinctive appearance.

Calibre 4131 Automatic Chronograph

Powering the watch is Rolex Calibre 4131, a manufacture self-winding mechanical chronograph movement. It provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve, with a central chronograph seconds hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock. Rolex specifies precision of −2/+2 seconds per day after casing.

Everose Gold Tachymeter Bezel

The fixed 18 ct Everose gold bezel is engraved with a tachymetric scale, allowing average speeds to be calculated over a measured distance using the chronograph.

Everose Gold Oyster Bracelet

The watch is fitted with a three-piece solid-link 18 ct Everose gold Oyster bracelet and an Oysterlock safety clasp with Rolex’s Easylink 5mm comfort extension.
